Gimme Want Want...

or what we saw at the furniture show!  We have just returned from the High Point Furniture show and I want everything!!  Here are just a few of my favorites..

Fantastic Loveseat.  It actually pulls apart to form two corner chairs.  Linen with nailhead trim (another trend).  Had to buy one!

Metal Side Tables.  A continuing trend is the industrial look - lots of rust and re-claimed metal.  Had to have several of these side tables made from re-claimed wood and metal.

Metal Chandeliers.  How cool are these?  Two different designs.  Won't they look great over a kitchen island?

Deconstructed Chairs.  Saw a similar look at a few vendors.  Loved this one!

My favorite find, though, is this original vintage French "Brocante" sign that we found at the very fabulous dealer, BoBo!

We brought a few new things home from the show and others will be here soon!  Please stop by to take a look.  And, don't forget to check us out on Facebook - I will be posting additional photos from the show later this week.

Have a Heart...

October 16th is Feral Cat Day and in honor, I have more new books for you!  OK - they are dog books, but all profit from sales of these books this month will go to Alley Cat Allies.

Caring for Feral Cats is all about compassion and commitment.  Because they are not domesticated, shelters will not typically take them in.  To find out more about them and how you can help, please go to:  Alley Cat Allies.

New French Style Books!

Here are two new French Style books, just in time for the holidays!

The French Inspired Home
by Carolyn Westbrook

Carolyn Westbrook brings you her first-hand knowledge
of what makes a beautiful French interior.

These interiors are not about the latest trends, but meant to inspire
longevity and a true romance with your own home. The French
have mastered the art of this time-worn yet sophisticated style of
living, and you too will fall in love with the colours, the textures
and the inspiration that is truly French.

Entertaining in the French Style
by Eileen W. Johnson

Lovers of all things French will delight in these stories and
recipes deriving from both the French city and countryside
from Paris to Provence to Saignon. Entertaining in the French
Style
gives readers a glimpse into the everyday lives of French
artists, farmers, chefs, and cheesemakers, and the central roles
of both food and setting in capturing the nuanced romantic
notion of entertaining with French influence.
