We are featuring our new line of Decorative Paints from Annie Sloan Chalk Paints.  If you haven't yet seen them, you are in for a treat!  No priming or sanding - really!

We will be talking about the paint and showing off a few of the pieces I have already painted.  I've already received a few photos of pieces painted by customers and everyone agrees: THIS IS THE BEST PAINT EVER.

We just delivered this beautiful sofa to the river front home of one of Ann and my clients. 

It has a gorgeous "wave" back and arms and comes in a choice of two slipcovered linen fabrics.

Gimmee Shelter

Our Shelter cat this month is "Karen" and her beautiful daugher "Collette". They came to the shelter this past week -  just the two of them. If you can adopt Karen or her baby, please visit the Northumberland Shelter in Burgess VA. (You don't have to be a resident of Northumberland Co. to adopt there.) They are open for adoptions, Wednesday and Saturday from 10-2pm. The phone # is 804-580-6156. Merci!

Welcome Annie Sloan!

Brocante Home is thrilled to announce:

Annie Sloan developed her now famous Chalk Paint to answer the need she had for a paint which would have many uses from acting like limewash to looking like old painted furniture. This paint is very easy to work with (requires no priming or sanding), has a fantastic range of colors and allows people to be as creative as they want to be. It is perfect for re-creating that French Chateau look! 

We can't wait to tell you more about this product and show you some pieces that we have painted.  Here are just a few examples of what you can do with this fabulous paint:
