Ready For My Closeup!

Follow Ann and I over the next few months as we "redecorate" my home!  Ann will provide the decorating know how and I will provide information on the products we have chosen to use throughout the process.  It promises to be fun and we look forward to your comments along the way.

LIVING ROOM / DINING ROOM
We decided to start with the redesign of my living room/dining room area.  My house is typical of homes in the area in that I have a fairly open floor plan - an L-shaped living room/dining room with a sunroom just off the living room area that looks out over the Coan River.

We did something rather unconventional with the layout as you will see in the article in Ann's blog.  To see more photos and learn what we have done so far, please go to Ann's blog: http://rearrangementsredecorate.com/blog/.

WHAT WE USED IN THE NEW DINING ROOM

Window Pane Mirror: Beautiful mirror to hang on the wall or lean against as we have here.  72" x 23" metal distressed.

Distressed Wood Candlesticks:  The perfect candlestick to use on a mantel, table or anywhere.  Comes with scalloped rustic candle holder with spike to hold the candle.

Pillar Candles:  These are dripless and have a beautiful glow when burning.  Three sizes and four colors available.  Also available as tapers.

Fresh Flowers:  Fresh from the local nursery!  Don't underestimate the power of color from fresh flowers.

Linen Curtains:  Light filters through these in a lovely way.  Sheer 100% linen curtain panels.  Come in three sizes and three colors.  Also available lined.

Table Lamp:  Just one of a large selection of French inspired lamps.  This one has a burlap shade (a favorite fabric) and stone base.

Silver Tray:  We always have a selection of fabulous silver trays.  Every room needs one.

Linen Pillow:  If there is one item that adds instant charm to a room it is a pillow. This room took on a whole new look once we added this gorgeous pillow in a soft lilac shade.  These are hand-screened on linen and down filled and come in every color you could want.

Floor Lamp:  You must come in to see the detail on this lamp shade!  The entire lamp is a scene stealer.

Bergere Chair:  We choose a set of bergers in a white frame and dark taupe fabric.  The white frame looks fabulous against the dark fabric.

Rustic Mirror:  From a collection of one of a kind vintage accessories at BH.

This room is not finished yet!  We will bring you updates on our latest changes and next month we will start to "redecorate" another room.
