Get The Look







I came across this photo in a recent design magazine and loved the look of the distressed shutters as backdrop for the table.  I love the combination of the old and new - the vintage desk, window and French bistro chair offset by the unexpected element of the shutters. This is a room that is both functional and whimsical. The lamps are pretty cool too! I'll show you how to get the look using items found at Brocante Home:

Gimmee Shelter

Say hello to "Otis", my newest boy - I adopted him from the Northumberland Shelter this week.  We have so many kittens at the shelter that we are really straining our resources. Please, if you are interested in adopting a cat, now is the time! Many, many cats and kittens are available and need good homes NOW! Adoption hours at the Shelter located in Burgess, VA are Wednesday and Saturday from 10am to 2pm or call Fran at 435-2597.
